  1. The Department of Roads, Mechanical Branch invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of following Equipment and its Spare Parts under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures.

  1. Eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at Department of Roads Mechanical Branch, Patandhoka, Lalitpur, Tel: 5005534~ Fax: 5535515 or may visit DoR&rsquo~s website ( e-procurement section.
  2. A complete set of bidding documents (Hard Copy) in English may be purchased on or before 19 June, 2017 from above office by eligible bidders on the submission of a written application and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of NRs. 5,000. For the purpose of Bidders who choose to submit their bid electronically through e-procurement section of DoR&rsquo~s website, the Bidders may either purchase the hard copy of bidding documents or may choose to download the necessary part of bidding documents, prepare their bid and submit their electronic bids as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. In case the Bidder chooses to download and submit bid electronically, the Bidder shall be required to deposit the non-refundable fee of NRs. 5,000 in the Revenue (Rajaswa) account as specified below and electronic scanned copy (pdf format) of the Bank deposit voucher shall also be submitted along with the electronic bid files.

  1. Bids must be submitted to Department of Roads Mechanical Branch, Patandhoka, Lalitpur on or before 12:00 hours on 20 June, 2017. Documents received after this deadline shall not be accepted. Alternatively, Bidders may submit their bid electronically through e-procurement section in DOR website as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Late bids will be rejected. Bids received by the above mentioned deadline shall be opened physically and electronically in the presence of Bidders'~ representatives who choose to attend at the address above at 13:00 Hours on 20 June, 2017.
  2. Bids must be valid for a period of 90 days counting from the day of bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security, amounting to NRs. 1,550,000.00 (or equivalent in freely convertible currency), which shall be valid for minimum 30 days beyond the bid validity period [i.e. 18 October, 2017].
  3. If the last date of purchasing, submission and opening falls on a government holiday then the next working day shall be considered the last day. In such a case the bid validity and bid security validity shall be recognized with effect from the original bid submission deadline.
  4. Bids should comply in all respects with the Instruction to Bidder included in the Bid Document. Non compliance with this instruction shall result in disqualification.
  5. The purchaser reserves the right to accept or reject, wholly or partly any or all the bids without assigning reason, whatsoever
